City of Dumas Now Accepting Summer Youth Work Applications
The City of Dumas is accepting applications for the Summer Youth Program at 155 East Waterman Street (City Hall) in Dumas until June 27, 2025. Applications can be picked up and returned to City Hall for youths and a supervisor position from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. The youth need to be from 16 - 20 years of age, and the supervisor should be age 21 and up. The City of Dumas office will be closed for lunch from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 pm.

Arkansas Awarded $96 Million For 19 Flood Control Projects
The Arkansas Black Mayors Association, in partnership with NCRS, submitted infrastructure projects to be funded. This includes a $95.9 million investment for 19 projects in Arkansas. USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Chief Terry Cosby announced on April 21, 2002at the Forrest City Civic Center. “These investments will help protect communities and their residents in Arkansas impacted by floods, natural disasters, and other watershed-scale resource concerns,” Cosby said.
